Together, they form “woolpowers”, a multifunctional group dealing with sheep and wool in the broadest sense.
We exchange ideas and experiences with anyone who is and becomes fascinated by sheep and wool.
We are a global network with extensive experience. We want to share our knowledge and connect the world of sheep and wool.
Marieke Janssen. The doer
Marieke Janssen has been passionate about sheep and their wool since 2017. After participating in the World Sheep Shearing and Wool Handling Championships, she has gained international connections. She is co-founder of Scheersport Nederland to promote the quality of shearing and wool handling in the Netherlands.
Betty Stikkers. The thinker
Betty Stikkers is a wool adventurer who has been passionately researching wool for 30 years. Her quest for knowledge has led to fascinating books and surprising discoveries. She receives wool from all over the world for her research.
Dorothee Becu. The dreamer
Dorothee Becu is a jack-of-all-trades who started out as a plant breeder, then became an IT specialist and designer, and ended up in the world of sheep and wool via music management. She bought a sheep farm where she breeds wool sheep with love and passion and organises workshops and courses.
